Book of Wong : There Is No Such Thing As An Ex-BB Boy

Of course, you can prove me wrong. As an Officer still attached to a Boys Brigade Malaysia Company, I cordially and humbly invite all former members of the Boys Brigade to return to your various Companies and help out in whatever way you can. Write a cheque. Drop by – one hour, two hours, or even up to five hours a week – to help your Company. Teach a Bible study class. Teach a badge class. Come in just to teach drill or band. Mentor someone. Donate your old computer, printer, scanner or digital camera to the Company. Help with fundraising. Offer to drive some Boys who have no transportation to Company meetings.

There are so many ways – big and small – to help. Only if you would, of course.

And we promise not to call you “ex-BB” Members.

Wong Giok Leigh doesn’t want to consider himself an “ex-” anything. Though he is currently on the other side of the world and very busy pursuing his Master’s Degree in the US while juggling two jobs, he still tries to make time to chat with his former squad Boys and NCOs. He also tries to contribute to the Brigade ministry by writing articles like this, hoping to encourage Brigade Members. He loves getting feedback emailed to him at leigh316@bigfoot.com
